FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I'm working at a licensed studio called Stray Dog Tattoo located at 1001 SE Water Ave. Portland, OR 97214. It is located on the second floor of the Eastbank Commerce Center and is wheelchair accessible. Please contact me through this website or email me at maddotattoos@gmail.com and know that a $50 deposit (which is applied to the final cost of the tattoo) is required to schedule an appointment. 

If interested in flash(pre-drawn designs that are often repeatable) please let me know what you want to get/ where you want it/ about what size . and if you want color. It's okay if you're not sure about any of this. You can always pick flash off the wall and we can figure out size and placement at the appointment. Let me know your availability and if you have any questions or concerns don't hesitate to ask! I will respond to you as soon as I can but please note that it may take me a couple days to get back to you. 

For custom designs and bigger projects please send me an email with your idea including size, placement, budget(if you're trying to stick within one) and if you want color or not. Let me know if you would like to schedule a free 30 min. consultation to come by the shop and talk about your idea in person. For customs I charge a $50 drawing fee at the same time as the $50 deposit.  (The fee is not applied to the final cost but the deposit is.) If a tattoo takes multiple sessions the deposit will be applied to the amount due at the final session.  I don't share drawings before the appointment but I do allow time for  making changes to the design at the beginning of our appointment.  

Cash is preferred so I don't have to pay any card processing or merchant fees but I can also accept Venmo if needed. 

If you need to reschedule, let me know as soon as possible- 72 hours before your appointment at the very latest. Any later will result in a loss of your deposit. If rescheduling up to 72 hours before, I can apply your deposit to a new appointment. Deposit re-application may only happen once. More rescheduling will require a new deposit.

If you cannot make it to your appointment, let me know as soon as possible. Please avoid being absent with no communication so somebody else can have your spot! 

In the state of Oregon, tattoo artists can accept any form of government issued photo ID, such as driver's license, ID card, passport, etc.

If your tattoo could use a little extra loving I will touch it up at no additional cost. I prefer to do touch-ups at least 2 months after the initial appointment to make sure everything is completely healed and settled. Just write me an email and we will find time to make it happen regardless if my books are opened or closed.
